Gaps

The Gaps category highlights early price dislocations between the current session and key levels from the prior day—such as the close, high, low, or identified support and resistance zones in the charts.

These real-time metrics help detect momentum-driven opens, gap-and-go setups, and potential trap conditions. By automating gap logic across all sessions, this category enables faster screening and decision-making at the market open without manual chart comparisons.

Gap From Last Close (%)

Measures the percentage gap between the current day's regular session open and the prior day's close.

  • Green icon: Gap occurs above the previous day’s resistance area
  • Red icon: Gap occurs below the previous day’s support area

Session context:

  • During pre-market, the last pre-market price is treated as the open
  • During regular and post market hours, the regular session open is used

Flags early momentum shifts, overnight sentiment, and potential open-drive setups, helping prioritize symbols before regular trading begins.

Gap to Last High/Low

Tracks the percentage gap from the current day's open to the previous session’s high or low.

  • Positive (%): Current open is above the previous high
  • Negative (%): Current open is below the previous low
  • Green icon: Bullish screw gap (previous day bearish, current open > previous high)
  • Red icon: Bearish screw gap (previous day bullish, current open < previous low)

Session context:

  • During pre-market, the last pre-market price is treated as the open
  • During regular and post market hours, the regular session open is used

This metric flags early signs of momentum. A gap above the previous high can signal strong continuation or breakout setups, while a gap below the previous low may indicate breakdown risk or sentiment reversal. Often used in morning playbooks to catch aggressive open-driven moves.

Gap To Resistance/Support

Identifies when a stock opens with a gap over a defined resistance zone or under a support level.

  • Resistance Gap (R): Current open > resistance, previous close < resistance
  • Support Gap (S): Current open < support, previous close > support

Session context:

  • During pre-market, the last pre-market price is treated as the open
  • During regular and post market hours, the regular session open is used

Detects key breakout or breakdown gaps beyond supply/demand levels—ideal for planning continuation setups or invalidation zones early in the day.
