Recent IPOs

Overview

The Recent IPOs profile shows only companies within 60 trading days of their initial listing, grouped by sector and industry and colored by the change from the previous close. Box size works differently here: it reflects the number of trading days since listing, so the larger a box, the longer the stock has been public within that 60-day window, and the smallest boxes are the market's very newest arrivals.

Fresh listings are their own ecosystem. They have no long-term chart history, small floats, outsized volatility, and, in the right market, some of the strongest early trends you can find. This map keeps the entire new-issue crop in one dedicated view.

info

The map applies a Box Size range filter of 60 trading days or fewer since IPO, so names age out of the view automatically as they mature.

Strategy Focus

  • Track the entire crop of recent listings in one dedicated view
  • Spot strong debuts, new names moving hard on their first sessions
  • Watch for IPO base breakouts as early trading ranges resolve
  • See which sectors the new supply is coming from, a sentiment signal in itself
  • Monitor cooling-off behavior as listings approach the end of their first 60 days

Map Configuration

  • Main Category: Sectors
  • Sub Category: Industries
  • Box Size: Days since IPO, with a range filter of 60 trading days or fewer
  • Box Color: Change From Close (%)

Metrics Behind the Map

  • Days since IPO: The number of trading days since the initial listing. Tickers under 200 trading days are typically considered recent IPOs, and this map narrows that to the newest 60 days, where volatility and early behavior are most distinct.
  • Change From Close (%): The percent change between the last traded price and the previous day's close, showing how each new listing trades today.

Practical Use Cases

  • Keep a standing watch on new issues without maintaining the list yourself
  • Scan for the smallest boxes, the freshest listings, and see how the market receives them
  • Click promising debuts to study their early ranges and set alerts for base breakouts
  • Read IPO sector concentration as a market sentiment gauge: heavy speculative issuance often marks froth
  • Add the strongest recent listings to a dedicated IPO watchlist for follow-through tracking
