Setups - Entry
Overview
The Setups - Entry profile highlights top-rated setups where price is currently testing a key support or resistance level. These are the types of names where timing matters most, because price is already sitting at a decision point that can lead to a breakout, rejection, retest, or reversal.
Because the profile also requires a Top Alpha Setup tag, it stays focused on names that already meet stronger setup-quality criteria before adding entry-level timing on top.
This profile updates in real time and applies filters automatically to highlight top setups where price is currently testing a key support or resistance area. It can be used across all market sessions.
Strategy Focus
- Surface top-rated setups where price is already at a key decision point
- Focus on names testing support or resistance for better-timed entries
- Identify breakout, rejection, retest, and reversal candidates with stronger setup quality
- Prioritize liquid, active stocks where timing around structure is more actionable
- Combine strategy metrics, entry context, and group support to refine execution
- Build watchlists around setups with both quality and timing already aligned
Filters Applied
This profile uses two focused filters:
- Top Alpha Setup: Requires the setup to be tagged as one of MarketAlpha's highest-quality opportunities based on structure, price behavior, volume, group context, and fundamentals.
- Price At Resistance/Support: Keeps only names where the current price is sitting at a known support or resistance area.
Together, these filters keep the profile centered on high-quality setups that are already at an actionable price level.
