Overview​

The Top Alpha Setups profile shows only the stocks MarketAlpha's AI has flagged as the most compelling setups of the day. Inclusion is strict: a setup needs strong price confirmation, a risk/reward of 2.0 or higher, and no more than two resistance or support zones between price and target. The selection process weighs chart structure, gap analysis, price action patterns, volume behavior, fundamental ratings, group strength, multi-timeframe consistency, and other proprietary AI models.

The map's encoding is unusual and deliberate: boxes are sized by the AI Risk/Reward ratio and colored by the AI Path to Target. The biggest boxes offer the most reward per unit of risk, and the best-colored boxes have the fewest obstacles between price and target. The setups worth studying first are the large, clean ones.

Metrics Behind the Map​

  • Top Alpha Setup: The AI-selected most compelling setups of the day, based on the Alpha Strategy (long or short) plus a multi-factor evaluation. Only setups with strong price confirmation, risk/reward of 2.0 or higher, and two or fewer zones between price and target are included.
  • AI - Risk/Reward: The ratio between expected upside and downside for the final target of the Auto Alpha Strategy, calculated from the identified support and resistance zones. Values above 2 are considered favorable.
  • AI - Path to Target: Counts the resistance or support zones between the current price and the final target, with nearby zones merged. Fewer than 2 zones implies a clearer route to the target.
