Keyboard Screening

MarketAlpha supports intuitive keyboard shortcuts that dramatically speed up navigation, screening, and research workflows. Whether you're using the Ticker Screener, Group Screener, Ticker Viewer, or Multi-Charts, you can quickly cycle through results and surface insights — all without lifting your mouse.

Screener Navigation​

Ticker Screener​

  • Enter: Opens the Charts Sidebar or Data Viewer for the currently highlighted ticker
  • ↑ ↓: Move up and down the ticker list to preview results in the sidebar
  • When the News Sidebar is open, use ↑ ↓ to cycle through company news and info in real time

Group Screener​

  • Enter: Opens the Group Viewer Sidebar for the selected industry or theme
  • ↑ ↓: Instantly switch between groups while the sidebar is open — enabling rapid macro-level scanning
  • Ideal for tracking leadership changes, rotation, and group behavior in seconds

Paging Through Results​

When working with long result lists or chart grids, use:

Move between pages with ← →:

  • Ticker Screener
  • Group Screener
  • Multi-Charts

This shortcut is especially helpful when reviewing large watchlists or scanning multiple chart layouts.

Watchlist Navigation​

Inside Ticker Viewer or any Main Chart with the Watchlist Sidebar open:

  • ↑ ↓: Move through your watchlist
  • Each key press automatically updates the chart and data views with the selected symbol
  • Perfect for scanning through saved tickers or monitoring watchlist-based setups

Universal Tips​

  • Start Typing: While in Universal Search, Ticker Viewer, or Main Chart, you can begin typing immediately to trigger search fields — no need to click first
  • Enter: Confirm your search and load results instantly
  • ↑ ↓: Navigate through search results using the keyboard
  • Esc: Close modals, dropdowns, sidebars, or info panels
