1 Day Movers

Overview

The 1 Day Movers profile surfaces the strongest and weakest groups of the current session using Group Rating 1 Day. It helps you spot real-time leadership, breakdown clusters, and fast rotation across industries and themes by focusing on the outer edges of today’s performance.

info

This profile updates in real time and highlights groups at the strongest and weakest ends of today’s market action. It is useful for tracking live momentum extremes, sharp reversals, and broad shifts in participation.

Strategy Focus

  • Identify intraday leadership extremes across industries and themes using real-time rating signals
  • Spot breakout and breakdown clusters where price, breadth, and participation are moving together
  • Track volume-backed momentum to separate stronger moves from weaker, less supported ones
  • Monitor reversal risk by checking divergence, compression, and changing breadth inside strong or weak groups
  • Use Top Alpha Setups to find groups with concentrated setup activity
  • Follow rotation in real time as leaders weaken and laggards begin to improve

Filters Applied

This profile applies a dual real-time filter to surface extreme performers on both sides of the market:

  • Group Rating 1 Day ≥ 95: Includes the strongest groups of the current session
  • Group Rating 1 Day ≤ 5: Includes the weakest groups of the current session

These conditions are combined with an OR rule, so a group appears if it is either a top intraday leader or a bottom intraday laggard.

Metrics Used

Group Identity and Structure

  • Industry / Theme: Identifies the group so you can quickly see which industry or theme is leading or lagging.
  • Tickers: Shows how many companies are inside the group, which helps frame how broad the move may be.

Intraday Price Movement

  • Change Pre (%): Adds pre-market context and can help explain early momentum before the regular session develops.
  • Change From Close (%): Tracks regular-session performance and helps confirm whether the group is extending strength or weakness.

Intraday Group Ratings

  • Group Rating 1 Day: The main filter and primary ranking metric. It reflects real-time group performance using price action, gaps, breakout behavior, and momentum.
  • Group Rating 1 Year: Adds longer-term context so you can judge whether the current move aligns with the broader trend.

Relative Strength Breadth

  • Rel. Strength 1 Day 90+ (%): Shows the percentage of companies in the group with strong intraday relative strength, helping confirm whether leadership is broad or narrow.
  • Rel. Strength 1 Year 90+ (%): Shows the percentage of companies with strong longer-term relative strength, which helps distinguish stronger trend groups from temporary bursts.

Volume and Participation

  • Total Volume (%): Shows how much of today’s market volume is concentrated in the group, helping confirm where capital is flowing.
  • Relative Volume: Compares current group activity with its usual pace, which helps validate strong or weak moves.

Performance Context

  • Return Year to Date (%): Adds broader trend context and helps show whether today’s move fits the group’s larger direction.

Fundamentals Snapshot

  • EPS Rating: Adds earnings-quality context and helps judge whether strong or weak moves are supported by earnings strength.
  • Sales Rating: Adds revenue-growth context and helps confirm whether the move is happening inside a stronger or weaker sales backdrop.
  • Profit Rating: Adds profitability context and helps separate higher-quality leaders from weaker ones.
  • Accumulation/Distribution Score: Shows whether institutional behavior has been supportive or negative, which matters when moves become extreme.

Earnings Catalyst

  • Reports Earnings Within 1 Week: Highlights near-term earnings activity that may be driving sharp moves or increasing volatility.

Structural Price Action

  • Last Price > Prev. High (%): Shows how many companies are breaking above prior highs, which helps confirm continuation strength.
  • Last Price < Prev. Low (%): Shows how many companies are breaking below prior lows, which helps confirm downside pressure.

Divergence and Setup Potential

  • Positive RSI Divergence 14D (%): Shows the percentage of companies with bullish RSI divergence, which can support continuation or early reversal analysis.
  • Negative RSI Divergence 14D (%): Shows the percentage with bearish RSI divergence, which can help flag weakness inside strong groups.
  • Tight Range (%): Shows how much compression exists in the group, which is useful when tracking possible expansion after a pause.

Strategy Signals

  • Top Alpha Setups: Counts the number of high-confidence setups inside the group, helping confirm whether momentum is translating into actual setup concentration.

Default Sorting Logic

Results are sorted by Group Rating 1 Day in descending order, so the strongest intraday groups appear first, followed by the weakest groups.
