News Sidebar

The News Sidebar gives you a fast way to review company headlines, background, and market links — all without leaving the Ticker Viewer. It appears on the right side when toggled and dynamically loads information based on the selected symbol.

How to Open

You can open the News Sidebar from several places:

  • Ticker Viewer → Click the news icon near the top left next to search
  • Main Alpha Chart and Sidebar Chart → Click the Open Ticker News icon in the chart toolbar
  • When using the Ticker Screener, click the Open Ticker News icon on top to launch the panel for the first result in the table or any last selected company

When using the Ticker Screener, you can press up/down arrow keys to move between results — and the News Sidebar will update instantly for each new ticker.

What It Shows

Each News Sidebar includes:

  • Ticker Symbol and Name
  • Sector, Industry, and Theme
  • Company Description — a short business summary and key operations
  • Country, IPO Date, and CEO Name
  • Links to Visit Website and View EDGAR Report

Beneath this info, you’ll find a live list of:

  • Recent news headlines
  • Each item includes the title, summary, source, and timestamp
  • Articles link out to trusted financial publishers like MarketBeat, Seeking Alpha, Fool.com, TechCrunch, and more

Contextual Navigation

As you switch between tickers using the Ticker Screener, the News Sidebar updates in sync. This gives you a real-time view of headlines and background for every stock you research — without having to search externally.

You can scroll through the news feed vertically or collapse the panel at any time.
