About Alpha Charts
Alpha Charts are MarketAlpha’s default charting view — designed to give you everything you need for structural trade analysis in a single screen. They include AI-generated overlays, key technical zones, and full toolbar controls for personalization.
Each chart loads automatically with your saved settings and shows real-time chart behavior, along with intelligent overlays such as support/resistance zones, AVWAPs, Fibonacci levels, and more.

How to Read Risk/Reward
Each Alpha Chart includes a special AI strategy overlay that visualizes stop, entry, and target zones using a colored risk/reward candle. This structure allows you to instantly assess whether a trade setup has strong upside relative to downside — and where the critical levels are.
These candles include:
- A red zone below the entry = calculated stop-loss level (your risk)
- A green zone above the entry = two-tier target area (your reward potential)
If the green section is large compared to the red, the setup offers a strong reward-to-risk ratio. Tight red zones with tall green projections signal efficient entry timing with clearly defined exits.
All targets and stops are calculated using cluster detection logic — not arbitrary points. This means the AI identifies real zones of support and resistance based on the intersection of multiple chart overlays (AVWAPs, pivots, trendlines, etc.).
Risk/reward is updated in real time and reflect the AI’s Auto, Long, or Short strategy bias depending on what’s enabled in your chart settings.
