Ticker Screener Guide

The Ticker Screener is your main tool for scanning thousands of U.S. tickers in real time. It gives you full control to filter, sort, and visualize setups with live data, customizable profiles, and multi-chart integration.

What the Screener Shows​

When you open the Ticker Screener, you’ll see:

  • A live table of stocks, filtered by your current screener profile
  • Columns displaying real-time metrics like price change, volume, alpha setups, RSI, earnings, and more
  • A top toolbar for search, export, lock, reset, and column management
  • A right-hand sidebar for quick access to filters, profiles, and watchlists
  • Optional sidebar for charts, data viewer, and news panels

Everything updates in real time by default — or at a refresh interval of your choice.

Key Features​

Real-Time Filtering​

Apply any combination of filters to the screener using the Data Filters Sidebar:

  • Add individual filters based on metrics (e.g. RSI, ATR, Liquidity Rating)
  • Use filter presets or create custom logic
  • Group filters with AND/OR logic and save them as profiles
  • Load community filter groups to apply ready-made setups instantly

Profiles for Speed​

Screener profiles are saved configurations of:

  • Active filters
  • Column layout and order
  • Search input (if any)
  • Sorting and arrangement

You can switch between your profiles, MarketAlpha community profiles, or save your own. Profiles automatically adapt to the current market session (Pre-Market, Regular, Post-Market, Market Closed) when you open the Ticker Screener.

Column Control​

Use the Columns Sidebar to:

  • Add or remove any metric from over 900 available
  • Rearrange column order with drag-and-drop
  • View full definitions via tooltip icons
  • Sort any column by clicking or right-clicking

There is also a compact/full toggle and header mode for better screen space management.

Compact vs Full Mode​

Switch between:

  • Compact Mode — fits more tickers per screen, minimal metadata
  • Full Mode — shows industry, theme, type, and key icons (e.g. IPO, low liquidity, earnings flags)

Top Bar Tools​

Use the toolbar to:

  • Search for tickers, industries, themes, ETFs
  • Export all data to .csv or selected symbols to .txt or clipboard
  • Lock screener results for percentage filtering
  • Reset filters, columns, or the full profile layout
  • Open chart sidebar or news for selected tickers

Chart Integration​

You can launch:

  • Sidebar Charts for quick views of any selected row
  • Multi-Charts to compare multiple tickers visually
  • Main Chart Page for full chart views with strategy overlays

All screener results can be piped into charts with one click or keyboard shortcuts.
